🏔️ 7-Day Hampta Pass Trek Itinerary – India

Day 1: Arrival in Manali (Altitude: 6,726 ft)

  • Reach Manali by road or overnight bus.

  • Check-in at a hotel or base camp.

  • Attend the trek briefing, safety instructions, and gear check.

  • Rest and explore local sights like Mall Road or Hidimba Temple.

  • Overnight stay in Manali.


Day 2: Manali to Jobra (Drive) – Trek to Chika (Altitude: 10,100 ft)

  • Drive from Manali to Jobra (9,800 ft) – around 1.5 hours.

  • Start trek from Jobra to Chika campsite (approx. 2–3 hours).

  • Easy walk through pine forests, river streams, and grasslands.

  • Overnight camping at Chika under the stars.


Day 3: Chika to Balu Ka Ghera (Altitude: 11,900 ft)

  • Trek for 5–6 hours through river crossings and rocky terrain.

  • Trail offers stunning views of the Dhauladhar Range.

  • Reach Balu Ka Ghera, a scenic meadow surrounded by snow-clad peaks.

  • Dinner & overnight stay in tents.


Day 4: Balu Ka Ghera to Hampta Pass (14,100 ft), then descend to Siagoru (12,900 ft)

  • Early morning trek to the Hampta Pass, the highest point of the journey.

  • Challenging but rewarding – snow patches, steep climb, and breathtaking views.

  • After the summit, descend to Siagoru.

  • Overnight stay at Siagoru campsite near a glacial stream.


Day 5: Siagoru to Chatru (11,000 ft) – Drive to Chandratal (if road permits)

  • Trek down to Chatru through steep and rugged trails (4–5 hours).

  • Chatru lies at the convergence of Hampta, Spiti, and Rohtang Pass routes.

  • If roads and weather allow, drive to the surreal Chandratal Lake (14,000 ft).

  • Camp near Chatru or Chandratal, depending on conditions.


Day 6: Chatru/Chandratal to Manali (Drive)

  • Scenic drive back to Manali via Rohtang Pass.

  • Reach by evening and check into a hotel.

  • Free time to relax or shop for souvenirs.

  • Overnight in Manali.


Day 7: Departure from Manali

  • After breakfast, check out from the hotel.

  • Depart for onward destination with a heart full of memories.
